Become a Cadence Keeper

In a group ride, the cadence keeper holds the pace: steady, reliable, the reason the group gets there together. Think of it as a stokvel for the programme. Everyone puts in a fixed amount each month, and together it keeps TrailTherapy running week after week, term after term.

Why monthly giving matters

A steady amount each month is worth more to the programme than a larger gift that arrives once. It lets us commit to a full term of sessions, to facilitator stipends, and to the young people who are counting on being picked up next week.

“Our participants have even gone on to compete in cycling events, seeing firsthand how their new skills can lead to mastery and opportunity.”

Choose what you fund each month

Rider
R 100
/ per month
Every month, R76 goes to the riding and R24 to the standard: the scores that tell us whether it worked.
Become a Cadence Keeper

What R100 a month funds

  • R76 to the riding: bike, shirt, kit and a plate of food
  • R24 to the standard: GAD-7, PHQ-9, CYRM-5 and SDQ scores
  • Two Riders together carry one young person for a year
Keeper
R 300
/ per month
One young person's complete place: bike, food, kit and a trained facilitator beside them, at R57 a ride.

What R300 a month funds

  • R228 to the riding: one complete place, every ride
  • R72 to the standard: training and clinical measurement
  • One place, start to finish, with change toward the next
Pacesetter
R 500
/ per month
Two complete places: two young people who were not otherwise on the list, funded steadily month after month.

What R500 a month funds

  • R380 to the riding: two complete places on the trails
  • R120 to their measurement and facilitator supervision
  • Recurring, which lets us plan past the next grant

Set your cadence

Pick your amount in the form below: R100, R300, R500 or your own.

You can change tier or cancel at any time. Card and bank details are handled by our payment provider, never stored by us.

We will only use your address for this. We will not share or sell it. Read our privacy notice.

How your details are handled

Your details and your debit-order mandate go straight to our payment provider, Paysoft, through the form above. Your bank details never touch this website. You can change tier or cancel at any time.

Where does the money go?

Your support pays for

Bicycles and their maintenance, helmets, facilitator stipends and training, food after every session, and the monitoring that shows what changed.

It does not pay for

A large head office, a fundraising agency or a media budget.

Each Cadence Keeper tier states what it funds, and our reporting shows what did not move as plainly as what did.

Questions

Yes, at any time and without a reason. Email hallo@pedalforgood.com or cancel the debit order through your bank, and it stops from the next month. No forms, no phone calls, no follow-up campaign. If you cancel, you will still receive anything already owed to you, such as your Section 18A certificate for the months you gave.

A debit-order mandate is your written permission for your bank to pay a fixed amount to Pedal For Good each month. It is the standard mechanism South African banks use for recurring payments, and it is protected by your bank’s dispute process: you can instruct a reversal of an unauthorised debit. The mandate is handled by our payment provider; your bank details never touch our website.

Yes. Pedal For Good is registered with SARS as a Public Benefit Organisation, and monthly gifts qualify for Section 18A certificates. We issue one certificate covering your full tax year of giving, sent to your email address in time for filing season, so there is nothing to collect or request.

Yes. Email hallo@pedalforgood.com with the tier you want and we adjust the debit order from the following month. Moving down is as welcome as moving up: a steady R100 is worth more to the programme than a R500 that lapses. Your annual summary and receipts simply follow whatever you actually gave.

One email a month, The Cadence, if you opt in: a story from the programme, one thing we measured, and what supporters paid for. Once a year you receive a personalised summary of the cumulative difference your giving has made, plus your Section 18A certificate. That is the whole list. No street fundraisers, no phone calls.

Participation in measurement requires caregiver consent and the young person’s own assent, with separate media release forms. Children appear in photographs on this site only where that release is on file.
